Mourinho: 'There has never been a choice to take Cristiano!'

The United manager Jose Mourinho commented on the Champions League draw, which gathered Red Devils in a group with Juventus. The Portuguese has identified the bianconers as one of the favorites to win the tournament via baseball tips after the serious selection they made in the summer. He also admitted that there had never been a chance to attract Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, although such rumors were routed in the media space. Eventually, in the summer, the 33-year-old striker passed into Juve.
'Juventus is one of the teams that invested to win the Champions League because they simply did not have to invest for Scudetto. They earn it six or seven times in a row. Now the big goal is to win the Champions League. They were twice close, reaching the finish line. I think they are the team who spent most on new players in the summer with Liverpool. They took fantastic footbal lers like Cristiano, Emre Can, Bonucci. Absolute champions. However, they will have a lot of difficulties when faced with us. Before me, I never had the option of taking Cristiano to say yes or no. Such a variant simply did not exist!', said Mourinho.
